Our Story

Rustic Country Creations is operated by Heath and Kristeen Janèt. Heath and Kristeen have been married since 2007 and have a blended family consisting of six kids, three boys and three girls. They are a christian family and believe they should lead their family, themselves and their business in a manner that glorifies the one they live for, Jesus Christ.
Heath started welding in 1988, at the age of 20. Heath was taught the trade by an employer while he worked on a farm. He started experimenting with patterns and cutting torches and found that he really enjoyed the trade. Heath began making templates and creating metal art as gifts for family and friends. Heath's mom suggested he sell his products online. Heath took his mom's advice and started Southwest Iron Crafts in 2003. Heath had a successful business until 2006 when he closed the site due to personal issues.
Rustic Country Creations was started in January 2010 after Heath was laid-off from his job as a crane operator due to the economic downfall. Since Heath's layoff, he has since regained employment as a rigger for a machinery moving company. Kristeen works in word processing at a large cpa firm.
Heath and Kristeen enjoy spending time with their kids, going to church, sporting events and programs for their kids and of course, creating metal art.
